Frugal But Still Delightful

I'm always curious about home remedies and claim that some just plain don't work but here's some new ones to try! 

• Castor Oil works well on insect bites as well as headaches and upset stomachs.
• Apply warm salt water on a burn and it will help reduce pain as well as prevent infection.
• Honey helps relieve chest congestion…you can also heat it with a touch of whiskey and apple cider vinegar to help heal cold and flu symptoms.
• You can create your own homemade cough syrup with a mixture of sugar and whiskey…heat till thickened.
• To relieve colic, dissolve a tablespoon of baking soda in water; do not give to children under 12.
• Salt and warm water applied into ear with a dropper dissolves wax buildup and reduces ear pain.
• To reduce Garlic breath or bad breath for that matter, chew on some fresh parsley or fresh celery. There are also teas you can drink to help reduce bad mouth odors.
• A tablespoon of peanut butter may very well cure hiccups.
• One old time remedy for asthma was to breathe in salty water up your nose several times a day; also good for relieving nasal congestion and avoiding sinus infections if snorted with a touch of baking soda.
• A mixture of warm honey, whiskey, and apple cider vinegar is an old time remedy for arthritic bones.
• For extreme body odor, pour a cup of pure tomato juice in your bath water and soak half hour. This procedure works on pets as well.
• To relieve itching on scalp or body, apply apple cider vinegar. Rinse off after application.
• A warm castor oil pack applied on soar muscles will relieve pain. For better penetration use a heating pad over applied oil
• Castor oil mixed with baking soda is an excellent treatment for ingrown toenails as well as warts. Simply mix equal amounts, leave on half hour and rinse clean.

I Love the smell of this one!

COFFEE BODY SCRUB
2 cups of coarsely ground coffee
1/2 cup raw sugar or sea salt
2-3 T massage oil

Mix all ingredients together. Take a hot shower to moisten your skin and open your pores. Using wide, circular motions, rub the coffee exfoliant onto your skin with strong, even pressure. Shower off, pat skin dry, and apply a thin layer of your favorite body lotion.

Coconut Body Custard
This lotion will heal and restore lost moisture because of he fatty acids in the coconut milk. Plus the decadent smell will whisk you away to an island retreat.

-¼ cup coconut milk
- 1 cup unscented body cream
-2 drops vanilla extract.

Mix well and use within 5 days.

When a baby is born into a family it affects every one in that family. However, as you have baby 2 ... then baby 3, the way in which you deal with the child also changes considerably. Enjoy a laugh with the differences below.

Quick Fixes when Painting our Faces

 If you're like me I'm always lacking with time when it's my turn to paint my mask on. So here's some quick tips I found.

Step 1. Hide dark circles

Applying concealer under your eyes and in the inner corners next to your nose automatically brightens your face. (To fully cover very dark circles, dot on a peachy or pinkish corrector first.) Use a small, flat brush and pat with your finger to blend.

Tip: Weather, stress, sleep, and hormonal changes can affect your skin color, so it's worth it to have a "wardrobe" of three or four concealer colors--it'll do more for you than an extra lipstick. 

Step 2. Perk up your complexion

You can use this mixture to completely remove all unwanted dullness. You will feel as if you just left the salon! Shake together ½ cup extra virgin olive oil and ½ cup lemon juice. Massage into scalp and wrap a warm towel

An 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting. When she went before the judge in Cincinnati he asked her, 'What did you steal?' 

She replied, 'A can of peaches.'

The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches and she replied that she was hungry.

The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can. She replied 6.
The judge then said, 'I will then give you 6 days in jail.' 

Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment, the woman's husband spoke up and asked the judge if he could say something.

Quick Fix for Skin Redness
